Abstract

The aim of this study is to evaluate fracture resistance, fracture type and interface of crowns screwed and cemented on osseointegrated implants with different connections. It will be obtained three groups (n=24) with crowns screwed to external hexagon (group I.P), internal hexagon (group II.P) and Cone Morse (group III.P) implants; and four groups (n=24) with cemented crowns fabricated with CAD/CAM system on external hexagon (group I.C) and Cone Morse implants (group II.C), and pressed system on external hexagon (group III.C) and Cone Morse implants (group IV.C). Each group will be divided into 2 subgroups (n=12) submitted or not to 2X106 cycles of mechanical cycling with vertical loading of 50N at 2Hz. The screwed crowns will be obtained with ceramic veneering on zirconia abutments while the cemented crowns will be fabricatd with ceramic copings vennered with ceramic and cemented on prepared zirconia abutments. All samples will be submitted to fracture resistance test in a universal testing machine with compressive loading at 130° of inclination at 2mm/min to obtain the maximum load value of fracture resistance. After 1 X106 cycles of mechanical cycling, detorque value of the retention screw of secrewed crowns will be measured. Besides, the replicas will be evaluated in stereomicroscope initially, after 2X106 of mechanical cycling and after fracture resistance test to allow comparison of fracture type among the groups and analysis of interface after loading of the different connections. Data will be tabled and submitted to statistical analysis. (AU)
