Abstract

The main purpose of this project, in the context of Image Processing and Computer Vision fields, is the investigation and improvement of digital image analysis techniques in multiple resolutions using texture, color and shape features of the objects present in the images. The analysis process is based on spatial dependence of the image components modeled by Markov random fields. The project includes a characterization and justification of the problem being addressed, summary of the literature related to the research topic, its objectives, proposed methodology, work plan, project timetable, and analysis and validation of the planned results.
