Abstract

The convergence angle recommended for full crown preparations varies from 2 to 6 degrees and is difficult to obtain clinically. Given the importance of having tooth preparations with adequate retention form, the aim of this work is to evaluate the ability of undergraduate students in reproducing the correct inclination compared to more experienced graduate students. The mean convergence angles of tooth preparations for FPD retainers will be recorded by means of a digital microscope and compared between the groups. The results obtained will be used to propose modifications in the teaching/learning process if needed. (AU)
