Abstract

The vulvoperineal pain and discomfort caused by recurrent vulvovaginitis (VVR) and vulvodynia (VVD), and affects the social and sexual life of a large number of women, been considered great stress gynecological disorders with major psychological consequences. The involvement of the pelvic floor muscles in these pathologies, as an aggravating or as triggering agent, have been increasingly highlighted and questioned in studies. Objective: Verify the existence of any pelvic floor dysfunction in women with VVR or VVD. Subjects and methods: a non-interventional cutting study. Will be selected 64 women treated in the genital infections' Ambulatory of the FCM / Unicamp's Department of Tocoginecologia, 32 of them with VVR and/or with VVD, 32 without these diseases. The evaluation of the pelvic floor muscles will be done by intra vaginal pressure and surface electromyographic [(s)EMG], with the patients in gynecological in three events: the pelvic floor muscles relaxed, practicing contractions, and endurance of the pelvic floor muscles. To the collect, record and storage of datas will be used the appliance Miotool 400 along with your specific software. Statistical analysis of the final data will be undertaken by ANOVA, in a significance level of 5%. About to development of the statistic procedure will be used the SAS version 9.02. (AU)
