Abstract

The study of the biochemical responses in plants is a very useful tool for the understanding of its response capacity to adverse environmental factors. It is possible that the stress caused by excess/deficiency of KCl in cotton plants, can induce the the activity of antioxidative enzymes, and the accumulation of bioactive amines. Thus, studies on enzymes of the antioxidative response system and poliamynes metabolism responding to estresses are basic for the development of new strategies of manipulation of the cultures, aiming to the increase of the production and the guarantee of the quality product that is supplied to the market.
