Abstract

Polymeric nanoparticle matrices have received great attention as potential applications for the drug delivery systems in the medical, pharmaceutical and industrial fields. The purpose of this project is to present the state of the art regarding the physico-chemical characterization of pharmaceutical formulations which consists of polymeric nanopartcles for application drug delivery systems. The goal will be to evaluate the morphology, drug-polymer interactions and drug-polymer stability. Several techniques will be applied to physico-chemical characterization (DRX, DSC, TGA, FEG-SE, TEM, FTIR, UV-VIS e MICRO-RAMAN) of polymeric matrices before and after drug encapsulation. One of the most challenges is the briefing of the drug-nanoparticle interaction, aiming at the optimization of association rate, as well as Influence of different parameters on drug release. (AU)
