Abstract

The Family Health Program (FHP) is consolidating in Brazil as a model of attention to health since 1994. Inside of this universe, the Community Health Worker (CHW) exercise the link functions between the professional team and the community, acting as facilitators of people's access to health services and as translators of the scientific universe to the popular universe. Few studies were accomplished until then, evaluating the process of educational work of those professionals front to the community and their difficulties to do their word. Therefore, the objective of the present work, will be evaluate these aspects in CHW that work in the units of FHP of the municipal district of Piracicaba, SP, through interviews and subsequent analysis of the speech, being used the methodology of the Collective Subject Discourse. The sample will be constituted by 100 CHW that work in several FHP of Piracicaba and interviews will be conduct, record recorded and later transcribed. The analysis of the discourse will be accomplished through the methodology of the Collective Subject Discourse, through the interpretation of the Key-Expression, Central Ideas, Anchorages and, finally, the elaboration of the Collective Subject Discourse for the categories of representations founded.
