Study of thin films of titanium, zirconium, niobium, and their alloys

Abstract

This project involves the growth and the characterization of thin films of titanium, zirconium, niobium, and their bimetallic and trimetallic alloys. The thin films will be produced by sputtering. The main characterization technique to be employed is X-ray photoelectron spctroscopy (XPS). Other techniques will also be used: scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD). (AU)
