Abstract

The production of grapes at the Vale do São Francisco (PE, Brazil) is the second most important region in the country due to its climatic characteristics and overall commitment to develop the region's agriculture, in order to reach international markets. Dive that, the local land occupation has increased quick and intensively, which requires the development of local technologies to maintain the sustainability of production. Due those requirements of programs concerned about the quality of the product, involving the protection of the environment, food security, working conditions, human health and economic viability, wine needs help for upgrading technical concepts of production. This proposal was based on this need and aims to evaluate the current use and propose possible improvements on the technology of applying pesticides to ensure an effective control of pests and diseases, to maintain quality of the harvested fruit to minimize environmental contamination and protect users and operators involved in the treatment plant. Work will be performed in grape-producing region of the Vale do São Francisco, right on the farm production where will be evaluated the way of local spray application . Depending on the observed will be analysed of the possibilities for improvement in product placement on target with potential savings of natural and financial resources. Initially there are assumptions need to adjust the droplet diameter, volume and direction of fan used and the need for preservation of droplets of weather storms aggravated by dry and hot climate of the region.
