This project has as the main goal the continuity of the installation of the infrastructure of the Laboratory for High Resolution Spectroscopy (LEAR) by Nuclear Magnetic Resonance and Nuclear Quadrupole Resonance (NMR e NQR, respectively) of the Institute of Physics of São Carlos - USP, which is going to be used to develop the following major projects: - NMR with a 9.4 T magnet and appropriate probe, for the implementation of advanced solid-state high-resolution spectroscopy methods, the study of new solid-stare materials and tools for implementation of quantum computation and quantum information; - NMR relaxometry and translational diffusivity, for the study of porous media with low-field magnets (from 0.047 T a 0.58 T); - Translational diffusion measurements by NMR at 2 T, for the study of ionic and protonic conducting polymers used in the manufacture of lithium batteries and fuel cells, respectively. - Zero-field NMR, for the study of magnetic materials; - NQR, for the development of tools for quantum computing and quantum information, and - Development of hardware and software for NMR and NQR involving the participation of several undergraduate and graduate students, post-docs and collaborators inside and outside the IFSC-USP.
