Abstract

The São Paulo Advanced School on Primary Immunodeficiencies: Unraveling Human Immunophysiology puts together clinicians (with significant experience in the management of patients with Primary Immunodeficiencies – PIDs) and experimental scientists (many with medical training). The main goals are: critical review of the mechanisms of resistance to bacterial and viral infections in humans; critical review of the mechanisms of maintenance of central and peripheral immune tolerance; presentation and discussion of the tools used in genomic research of PIDs; analysis of the convergence of clinical and experimental approaches in the study the human immune response.
