First Identification of Canine Distemper Virus in Hoary Fox (Lycalopex vetulus): Pathological Aspects and Virus Phylogeny

Abstract

Canine distemper virus ( CDV) has been reported in several wild animals species, but there are no reports of CDV in hoary fox (Lycalopex vetulus). This paper reports the first case of natural CDV infection in hoary fox, the clinical and pathological aspects of the disease and the virus strain phylogeny. (AU)
