Abstract

The experiment will be installed and carried out at São Manuel Experimental Farm UNESP/FCA, in São Manuel, São Paulo State, Brazil. The aim of this work will be to evaluate pepper fruit yield with and without plant "vibration" under protected environment with and without lateral closing. Randomized blocks design will be used with four replicates and six plants per plot. There will be six treatments, in a split splot design where the plots will be constituted by "vibration" or not "vibration" of plants, and subplots by pepper cultivars (Malagueta, Dirce and Dínamo). The following characteristics will be evaluated: total number of fruits per plant, number of marketable fruits per plant, total weight per plant, marketable weight per plant, rate of marketable fruits, diameter and length of the fruits, fruit average weight, commercial fruit average weight, number and weight of seeds per fruit. Tukey test will be carried at 5% of probability to compare the treatments averages and conjunt analysis will be used to compare environments. (AU)
