Abstract

Clinical practice is the parenteral infusion of glutamine and omega-3 (AG n-3) in critical patients and surgical methods for modulating the immune response, metabolic and inflammatory. However, there are no enough reports to indicate the safety of combined use of parenteral glutamine and omega-3 fatty acids in conditions of metabolic stress. In this sense our goal is to verify in an experimental model of acute pancreatitis in rats, the effect of the use of single and combined solution of glutamine and parenteral lipid emulsion on the systemic inflammatory response and mortality.
