Abstract

It is believed that vocal fatigue is a negative vocal adaptation resulting from prolonged use of voice. However, its mechanism is unknown and is symptomatically described in the literature. Objective: To compare the analysis of glottal closure, acoustic measurements, perceptual and self-perception of voice before and after application of proof of continuous speech. Methods: Participants in the study 20 women aged between 18 and 25 years without laryngeal and voice disorders and who do not use professional voice. A questionnaire will be applied to knowledge of vocal and well-being videolaryngostroboscopy for analysis of coaptation of the larynx at rest, before and after the race speech, voice record and self-assessment of auditory perception, tactile and kinesthetic voice and dynamic range. Data collection will be held at the Clinical Hospital and Laboratory of Voice and Speech Research Department of Ophthalmology, Otorhinolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery, Faculty of Medicine of Ribeirão Preto. Proof of continuous speech will last 60 minutes, 90 minutes and 120 minutes and will be offered a standard text. The room the day of competition will be monitored by a digital Thermohygrometer, humidity and noise so as not to interfere in the results. (AU)
