Synthesis of de 2,5-Diarylfurans: Potential Fluorescent Probes
Abstract
The project's main theme, but not exclusively, is the use of potassium organotrifluoroborate salts (nucleophilic species) in the formation of carbon-carbon bond (sp2-sp2 bonds, sp2-sp, sp-sp) with organic halides and unsaturated species tellurium (electrophilic species), the latter as an alternative to traditional organic halides, catalyzed by transition metal complexes. Aims at the development of Suzuki-Miyaura type reactions that are viable, or other use of this class of reagents, is achieve small libraries of compounds for biological testing. (AU)
