Abstract
This Project aims the analysis of low frequency plasma waves near solar system unmagnetized bodies. In order to perform this study, data from Venus Express and Mars Express spacecraft in orbit around Venus and Mars, respectively, and from Deep Space-1 spacecraft during the flyby of 19P/Borelly comet will be analyzed. This study will be done in cooperation with investigators from the Max Planck Institute for Solar System Research (Venus Express and Mars Express) and from the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (Deep Space-1). Plasma sensor and magnetometer data will be processed and analysed. The main regions of interested for this study are the foreshock and magnetosheath of Mars, Venus and Borelly. The methodology of analysis will use minimum variance, Fourier and wavelet techniques. In this project, financial support is being asked for computers, for technical visits to MPS and JPL, for bringing collaborators to INPE, and for participation in scientific conferences to present the results obtained with the analysis.
