Abstract
In this project we plan to perform a systematic computation of the emissivity rates of neutrinos and axions produced in a NS by processes which are dependent on the adopted microscopic model for the NN interaction. Our goals are: i) to take into account in the calculations of the axion and neutrino emission rates of the full momentum dependence of an NN interaction in the One Pion Exchange approximation, for model dependent reactions (like NN bremsstrahlung, direct and modified URCA processes, etc). ii) to include in the calculations other nuclear in-medium effects like superfluidity, which can severely affect the axion and neutrino emissivities.
