Abstract
The main activities of Prof. S.C Ying during the visit to the Materials Associate Laboratory at INPE, will consist in the active participation in the joint research project "Dynamics and phase transitions in lattice systems" and seminar presentations in the Institute. During the visit, the research will focus in the investigation of the "Sliding friction of adsorbed layers and stability of epitaxial films, which are two main topics considered in the project. The visiting professor will also be available to give presentations in other institutions that may be interested. (AU)
