Abstract

The objective of this project is to obtain systematized information on distributed water quality. In order to do this, the monitoring of the distributed water quality performance will be studied in the form of quality indices, remote transmission of data and the generation of thematic maps. The choice of index should, among other factors, address and check standards of potability; identify possible anomalies in the variable or group of variables; offer flexibility in meeting new parameters or legal requirements, allowing for the inclusion or exclusion of parameters, once they are appropriately evaluated and calibrated; offer flexible periodicity (daily, weekly, monthly or six-monthly). The remote station will be equipped with an alarm system for anomalies. (AU)
