Abstract

The objective of the research project is evaluate how the land use can interfere with physical and chemical parameters of water in the Santo Anastácio River watershed from 1the integrated use of Geographic Information System, Geoprocessing, Remote Sensing and analyzes physical/chemical water. The methodological procedure is based on digital processing of images held in an orbital environment of systems for acquisition, storage, manipulation, analysis and presentation of georeferenced data, or in a GIS (Geographic Information System), for it will be implemented the following steps: preparing the improved composition and color enhancement, registration, segmentation, supervised classification, preparation of thematic maps and quantification of the issues. The physical and chemical parameters of water to be analyzed are: pH, conductivity, dissolved oxygen, temperature, turbidity and suspended solids. It is with the search results map the use and occupation of land, as well as diagnose the indicators of environmental quality of water collected. These data will point then the interference of the use and occupancy of the land of the Watershed of the Santo Anastácio River on indicators of environmental quality of water. The combined use of geothecnology is essential to determine the type of use and occupancy of land extending across the Santo Anastácio River watershed, to subsidize the planning of land use and sustainable management of water resources of the area.
