Abstract

This project is a continuation of a colaboration at an intersection of Quantum FieldTheory and Noncommutative Geometry with the objectives to study the spectralaction with applications to particle physics, and to use the Quantum Field Theorymethods for computations in Noncommutative Geometry. During this visit we shall(i) elaborate the methods to extend the spectral action to physical Lorentzianspace-times, (ii) use the heat kernel to evaluate the Connes-Moscovici cohomologieson manifolds with boundaries.
