Abstract

Prof. Rafiqul Gani is an eminent researcher in applied thermodynamics and separation processes. He is the author of more than 200 original research papers in indexed journals, four books and several papers delivered at international congresses. He advised more that 50 Ph.D. Theses and more than 65 Master Dissertations. Prof. Gani is one of the main researchers of the thematic project FAPESP 08/56258-8, "Phase Equilibrium and Purification Processes in the Production of Biofuels and Biocompunds", coordinated by Prof. Antonio José de Almeida Meirelles, from School of Food Engineering, UNICAMP. The proponent, Prof. Martín Aznar, is also a researcher in this project. The visit of Prof. Gani is fundamental for the development of the activities of the thematic project. During his visit, Prof. Gani will meet with the project members, will discuss future activities and will deliver the mini-curse "Integrated Product-process Design". (AU)
