Abstract
The purpose of this project is to use new observational diagnostics (a) the explosive events in the solar atmosphere and of their consequences in the atmosphere of the Earth and (b) the cosmic ray modulation and solar particles acceleration. The main directions of scientific investigations and activities in the proposed project are the following: 1. First, relates to the study of the nature of galactic cosmic ray modulation using experimental database obtained at El Leoncito by the CARPET cosmic ray device. 2. The second part relates to the analysis of solar flares recorded by the Solar Submillimeter Telescope (SST) at CASLEO, now complemented with the Millimeter solar polarimeters, as well as large solar events occurred during the last years. 3. In the view of the important results obtained so far (using the CARPET device at El Leoncito), the future development of this complex, and possible instruments, their characteristics and design will be discussed during my stay at CRAAM.
