Abstract

Our research project is in the field of Group Theory and will be performed at the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP) in the period 5th of March of 2012 to the 5th of Augost of 2012 together with Prof. Pavel Zalesski (UnB).The aim of the project is to obtain results about residually free pro-p groups and pro-p limit groups using homological methods and methods of the pro-p version of the Bass-Serre theory of groups acting on trees. We plan also to study subdirect products of pro-p groups that are non-trivial free products. The main activity during the visit is the execution of the research project. The visitor is also going to participate in the algebra seminars at UNICAMP and some in USP, and discuss mathematics with professors and graduate students of the department. It is also planed that the visitor will participate in the committee of the thesis defence of Igor Lima (UNICAMP). (AU)
