Abstract

The goal of the present project is to engineering 2DPHOT, complementing the package with the required tools to process the large photometric data-sets provided by current and next-generation wide-field surveys. Specifically, we plan to fulfill the following tasks: bulge/disk decomposition; PSF modelling and database modeling for the SDSS and UKIDSS data being processed. During the visit we also plan in writing the draft of a large paper describing the reprocessing of SDSS and UKIDSS, which represents a major effort. This database will be available to the international astronomical community. (AU)
