Abstract

This project aims to obtain funding from FAPESP for the visit of Professor Dr. Elena Gordo Odéris of the University Carlos III of Madrid, Spain, to the School of Engineering, UNICAMP, from September 24 to October 11, 2012. Elena Gordo has experience in the manufacturing of titanium parts by powder metallurgy; currently coordinates a research project funded by the Ministry of Science and Innovation of Spain, with the title of Processing titanium parts by advanced forming techniques, which is in its final phase of execution at the University Carlos III of Madrid. His visit will contribute to research projects currently under development at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, UNICAMP, involving laser processing and powder metallurgy for the fabrication of titanium components.
