Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the degrees of satisfaction and impact of burden of work perceived by professional nurses working in public mental health services and psychiatry, as well as verifies the existence of correlation between degrees of burden and satisfaction of the professionals in different institutions. This is a descriptive study, to be held in eight mental health services in Ribeirao Preto/SP. Three instruments will be used for data collection: two scales (SATIS-BR and BR-IMPACT) and a structured questionnaire to delineate characteristics of the subjects. There will be a descriptive analysis, followed by an inferential statistical analysis. For analysis of the scales of satisfaction and burden will be calculated and the average score will be performed comparing the results obtained in different services. From the results we intend to identify the manifestations and burden of professional practice and reflect on its influence on mental health nursing staff in different services. The results will be widely disseminated. (AU)
