Abstract

This project intends to support the International Social Sciences Council (ISSC) from Unesco on the elaboration of its Report on the state of the art of the social sciences worldwide on Sustainable Development. The Report will be launched in October 2013 and has the provisory title 'Global change and the transformative impact of the social sciences'. The support proposed in this project will be especially focused on a denser and a more qualified inclusion of the Latin American production, both in what concerns including researchers of the region and also promoting the incorporation of bibliographic databases which include Journals in Portuguese and Spanish, such as Scielo. Considering the task, the project will concentrate on making the connection with researchers of the area who work on the field, as well as on the development of bibliometric studies on the existing databases.
