Abstract

The broad aim of this proposal is to bring together experts in various aspects of string theory to begin a scientific collaboration aimed at solving the following questions: a) What are the string-theory integrability consequences of the gauge-gravity correspondence? b) What is the sigma-model description of string compactifications to four-dimensions with RR flux? These are deep and far-reaching questions that will require an extended period of research, requiring tools from a variety of different backgrounds. (AU)
