Abstract

In this project, we will study various aspects of AdS/CFT, dualities and integrabilities, as well as their relation to topological strings. String dualities, a generalization of field theory duality symmetries, relate different string theories (and also QFT by the geometricalengineering of QFT), and there is a rich interconnection with the AdS/CFT correspondence, itself an example of such a duality. Integrability, while mainly dealing with field theory, has been connected to the AdS/CFT correspondence first through its pp wave limit, and subsequent extensions. Recently, the observation that there are important deformations of QFTs, and in particular of integrable theories, called $T\bar T$ deformations, has received much attention, in particular for the AdS/CFT correspondence.In this project, we will study dualities and integrabily in various models and their relation to spin chains, and the pp wave limit. In particular, $T\bar T$ deformations of these will be considered, and of the integrable structure on the worldsheet string and in the field theory. We will then study the dualities when applied to topological strings andstudy their uses for integrability and deformations in the context of the AdS/CFT correspondence.
