Abstract

The Visiting Professor will work on two research projects approved by FAPESP. The first project involves grain processing methods (cracked and flaked corn) and forage fiber levels of sugarcane bagasse on performance and metabolic parameters of finishing Nellore cattle. The second project involves the study of energy supplementation of beef and dairy cattle grazing tropical pasture on metabolic parameters, ingestive behavior, ruminal fermentation, animal performance, milk composition, consumption, etc. In addition, the Visiting Researcher will write a book about modeling applied to ruminant nutrition and will teach a workshop on the same topic.
