Abstract

The violence against woman is a serious violation of human rights and generates several consequences to those who lives its cycle. Studies have shown that this is a problem of high prevalence in Brazil and worldwide. Several actions have been taken in the last years aiming to fight this problem and although there were some progress in the last decades, the reality of the services concerned with the assistance of women in violent situation is still poor. Facing the violence against women depends on among others actions of the articulation between the health services ans other services, such as the police, jurisdiction and psychosocial in order to build a network to work together. The present study has the main objective to know the institutions and social organizations which participate of the women protection network as well their agents in order to identify the difficulties of articulation. It will also verify if the professionals know the existing social resources, how do they relate and integrate with the professionals and services of other areas besides to know how do they assist a violent case and which are their proposals of interventions. The support offered by the social equipments and other elements articulated in an integrated network will be crucial for women to face violence. A major challenge it is the construction, the enhancement and articulation of actions with appropriated assistance, identification and referral of cases and the development of prevention of violence policy or projects.
