Abstract

The development of a university is based on teaching, research and extension. Therefore, research has fundamental importance for the improvement of teaching quality, the extension activities within the university and the development of the country. The development of research projects by professors and students and the dynamics of ownership of knowledge generated in many instances has fundamental importance for the Institution. Towards this, Faculty Engineering Bauru has encouraged the fundraising, as well as expanded dissemination of research. Nowadays, there are a lot of researches approved by funding agencies, eg, FAPESP, CNPq and CAPES, generating articles published in journals, conferences proceedings, books and book chapters, national and international. The Faculty technical and scientific production are increasing and places the FEB in a highlight position at UNESP. The creation of research groups has also contributed to the consolidation of research activities at the university, enabling the direct involvement of undergraduates in research projects, through the Scientific Initiation Program. The Implementation of the Research Support Office will be a permanent space for information regarding the funds raised to development agencies and research funding. The Faculty will be able to store information about the projects submitted to funding agencies, as well as the financial resources obtained (database). The EAP will provide technical and administrative support to all professors/researchers in the submission, tracking and filing of requests for fundraisers, in addiction to participate in the process of internationalization. Also, the EAP will guide on scholarships, research groups records, researches lines and researches in progress. (AU)
