Abstract

Through literature review and field research, as well as use of questionnaires and the conducting of interviews with Brazilian and American Communication Researchers, this project aims to rescue the panorama of contemporary studies of the area. It includes a study on the relationship of the U.S. and Brazil Communication field, in the context of the 13 post-graduate programs in the state of São Paulo. The goal is to problematize the convergences and dissonances of studies in both countries and, by investigating these two panoramas and the dissemination of their research results, enable the promotion of joint partnership in international publications and events in order to increase the impact of Brazilian Communication studies in Anglophone community.
