Abstract

Professor Manuel Sarmento, a well known researcher in the field of sociology of childhood, who has substantive experience in research and graduate studies in his working at the University of Minho in Braga (Portugal), comes to FEUSP for establishing research partnership, to expand the scope of childhood studies at FEUSP and strengthening the field of sociology of childhood in Brazil. He will give classes in the Postgraduate Program of FEUSP; have meetings with researchers and postgraduate students; attend meetings with groups of study and research about topics related to research projects; discuss specifically projects developed by the Group of Studies and Research on Sociology of Childhood and Early Childhood Education (GEPSI); give a open lecture to students, teachers and the general community, and participate in qualifying examinations and defense.
