Abstract

The objective of the present research project is the synthesis of 2-clorobenzylidenepyruvate of trivalent lanthanides and yttrium in the solid state. These compounds will be characterized by using infrared spectroscopy, X-ray diffractometry, elemental analysis, EDTA complexometry and the investigation of thermal behaviour by using simultaneous thermogravimetry, differential thermal analysis (TG-DTA) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC).
