Abstract

The project intends to carry an exhaustive analysis on the energy problem in Bolívia, based on the Natural Gas, suggesting possible scenarios for the rational usage of this low cost resource, evaluating the exportation to Brazil (either thinking other markets such as Argentina and Chile), aiming at an eqüity principle and dealing with concepts of sustainable development so that every citizen can benefit from the exploration of this natural resource. It is important to analyse information and knowledge about this problem and provide procedures that show the utilization of Natural Gas in favour of everyone, considering the future market in Brazil. Scenarios oriented to filling strategic information gaps shall be generated, such as: sectorized consume patterns (both urban and rural), energy balances of the last five years, population´s perception in different regions and states, national projection of the energy use and the international energy flows and its physical integration to Brazil.
