Abstract

The research activities of the Professor Eleni Varikas are related to my research project Sexuality, Gender and Violence in Policies for Old-Age. She will also advise graduate students working under my supervision; as well as the different researchers working at Pagu - Centre for Gender Studies at UNICAMP. These activities extend also to the students enrolled in the Social Science Doctorate Program, area of Gender Studies at UNICAMP. Doctor Eleni Varikas will participate in meetings, research seminars and in the organization of repertoires of research that are being processed by PAGU - Centre for Gender Studies. These activities will be complemented by lectures open to a broader audience, particularly teachers and students from the Departments of Anthropology, Sociology and Political Science at UNICAMP and other universities in the state of São Paulo.
