Abstract

The new technologies of information and communication has been largely disseminated and used in connection with health-related issues. In accordance to current health policy, these technologies can assist in health promotion along with health education and the actions of public health policies. Population aging has become one of the focus for provided managers, from this context was created the National Health Policy for Older Person. Faced with such fact, health professionals must conform to the guidelines of this policy, and one of these is the Speech, language and hearing scientist. The aging process includes all the specifics of Speech, language and hearing sciences areas and thus, this research aims to develop and evaluate a website with information that concern Speech, language and hearing sciences aspects, the normal and pathological aging process, standing out the Alzheimer's disease and Stroke. The material production the will follow the phases of analysis and planning, modeling, implementation and evaluation. The content and technological evaluations will be performed by Speech, language and hearing scientists, elderly's caregivers and elderly people through a questionnaire available on the website. In this way, it is expected to provide information related to the themes as well as providing information to the general population, thus promote the improvement of elderlies quality of life. (AU)
