Abstract

Prof. P.K. Sen has a long and pretigious career in the field of Statistics. He has published more then 600 papers and has supervised more than 80 PhD dissertations. His visits to Brazil (specially to Unicamp and IME-USP) have always resulted in scientific publications, and also in valuable contact with graduate students and research from these two garduate programas. His next palnned visit has as main purposes the continuing collaborations with Aluísio Pinheiro (Unicamp), Antônio Carlos Pedroso de Lima (USP), Hildete Pinheiro (Unicamp) and Júlio Singer (USP), besides talks with graduate students and faculty members form the two institutions.
