Abstract

Here we propose to organize a special scientific session at the prestigious conference "Physics and Applications of spin phenomena in solids" to be held in Washington DC, July 28 to 30, 2014. This special session will involve novel themes in condensed matter such as Majorana Fermions and Topological Insulators. These topics are being actively pursued in the international literature. (AU)
