Abstract

The visit of Dr. Joseph Polacco is related to the development of several projects being developed by the Unicamp group, coordinated by Dr. Paulo Mazzafera, and ESALQ-USP group, coordinated by Dr. José Laércio Favarin. Some of these projects are granted by Fapesp as regular projects or they are related with research carried out by undergraduate and graduate students, and post-doctorates. Dr. Polacco will contribute with his knowledge on physiology and genetics of urea/urease/Ni metabolism in the discussion of data generated in these projects, as well as about future collaborations. In addition, Dr. Polacco will give lectures at post-graduation courses at Unicamp and ESALQ-USP. Since the projects cited above have already produced a good set of data, Dr. Polacco will also help to structure one or two manuscripts to be sent for publication. (AU)
