Abstract

The project aims at identifying the discourse on international law adopted by the Brazilian teachers of the discipline and the teaching methods used by them in the classroom, and trying to establish a relationship between methods and their academic and professional background. The sample is limited to the best courses of law in the country, a total of fifteen institutions, according to a combination of rankings. The method chosen is that of semi-structured interviews with teachers and of documents analysis (curricula of teachers and programs of discipline). We expect to obtain a set of information about teaching practices in relevant aspects such as type of materials used, methods of teaching, classroom dynamics, forms of evaluation. Finally, the set of data obtained will lead to relations among teacher profile, teaching methods and substantive discourse on international law, which will serve to understand how the construction and reproduction of international law currently presents itself in the classroom.
