Abstract

This project aims to identify and analyze the child health care focusing on infant home safety and defense of the right to health, from the perspective of mothers/caregivers and nurses who work with families, looking for subsidies to create knowledge and practices in the context of primary health care. This project is organized into subprojects with the following themes: home infant safety and essential needs in the primary health care (subproject 1); health promotion and protection of child health from the perspective of adolescents mothers (subproject 2); infant nutrition practices and child safety (subproject 3); health surveillance and the pre-term follow up (subproject 4). Interviews and application of structured instruments will be used for data collection, as well as supplementary data from secondary sources. From qualitative approaches, the subprojects 1, 2 and 4, with thematic analysis, which are useful for identifying values, judgments and particularities of subjects' experiences. From a quantitative approach, subproject 3 will be a transversal study, with application of structured instrument about child nutrition. Because it is a research with participation of human beings, the recommendations of Resolution 466/12 of the Brazilian Health Consort will be followed. National and international research partnerships are composing this project, with joint scientific production, as well as doctoral theses, master dissertations and undergraduate scientific initiations.
