Abstract

The present visiting researcher working plan has as a challenge the understanding of cultural, socio-historical and environmental issues related to rural workers the Pontal region, suffering from the rapid changes provoked by the expansion of sugar cane plantation. For this, the visiting professor will participate in field research provided for in the thematic project, helping undergraduates and graduate in conducting focus groups and group dynamics that allow a contextual diagnosis and participatory mapping from the subjectivity analysis. For the development of participatory mapping by the rural community in Pontal do Paranapanema preparation workshops will be needed in Laboratory of Biogeography and Geography of Health, fundamental activity to the success of the field work, which should mobilize their respective collective of students and researchers. The visiting professor will also collaborate with educational activities, deepening qualitative research issues in public health. (AU)
