Abstract

Child development is a dynamic process and influenced by various biological and environmental factors interact and can act as risk or protective factors. Therefore, strategies to promote child development are important tools to minimize the former and maximize the other by encouraging proper care, especially for children with conditions of risk and vulnerability as those born premature. The aim of this study is to organize the theoretical and operational bases of care for premature born child and composed of health education material for the promotion of functional development at home. The study is exploratory, analytical, qualitative and organized approach in stages. The first being intended for integrative literature review in order to seek evidence / information on strategies to promote functional development and home care of preterm infants. The results of this review will explain the construction of the first version of a guidance for home care for this population, which will have her evaluated, complemented and validated through participatory construction with professional experts and caregivers focus group content. Data will be analyzed using the technique of content analysis. The construction of this material will bring contributions to the advancement of knowledge in this area and for the care provided to this population. (AU)
