Abstract

The impact of prematurity on child development skills has been studied and the results point to global deficits in this population. Studies show that the child's interaction with his mother particularly influences this process, so that the child allows the experiences that act as a basis for the development of abilities that culminate in appropriate adaptive, linguistic and cognitive behaviors. The early identification of developmental changes allows the interventional processes to be elaborated and, consequently, the deleterious effects of prematurity are minimized. In this context, tools that allow the early assessment of child development skills and maternal factors are relevant, so that sensitive professionals for the application, analysis and observation of the child and their families can contribute to the improvement of the quality of life, optimizing the development. The Face-to-Face Still-Face and Child-Adult Relationship Experimental Index-Care Index instruments allow maternal sensitivity, self-regulation processes and mother-infant dyad quality to be assessed from the earliest months of life and has been used for the evaluation of preterm and term babies. Objective: The present project aims to present the proposal of an internship at the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences of the University of Porto and at the School of Education of Lisbon with the purpose of instrumentalizing the researcher for analysis and quotation of the mother-baby, obtained through Face-to-Face Still-Face and Care-Index instruments. Material and methods: The proposed activities are scheduled to take place in July 2019 with a duration of 31 days where the student will attend theoretical and practical activities in order to instrumentalize it for the quotation of the data obtained in the master's project linked to this up to 80% reliability standards. The forecast is to analyze 30 videos (15 Portuguese and 15 Brazilian). In addition, it is proposed to hold discussions about the pertinent literature always focused on child development. Form of analysis of results: the training in the instruments will help to obtain the reliability of the measurements, without which the experimental procedures can not be used analyzed. (AU)
