Abstract

To reach the success in sports, elite sports clubs need to manage their resources in order to qualify the way where their staff works. Thus, the purpose of this study is to understand how learning strategies are organized to develop coaches in an Elite Soccer Club. Considering the complexity of factors regarding the development of athletes and the need to keep the high quality of long-term work, this study is limited to investigate the development of coaches involved in youth soccer teams. Based on assumptions of qualitative research, a documental analysis and several interviews with club managers and sports coaches will be performed in order to analyze the learning activities established in a soccer club recognized by the quality of its long term athlete development. Therefore, this study is justified to pointing, reflecting and interpreting the possible factors that influences the success of the professional development in an Elite Soccer Club. (AU)
