Abstract
Prof. Richard Van Emmerik will visit the Laboratory of Biomechanics and Motor Control of the School of Physical Education and Sport of Ribeirão Preto (EEFERP), University of São Paulo (USP) with the purpose of collaborating in the development of following research projects: "The effect of obstacle crossing on the combined task of gait and reach-to-grasp" and "The control of the combined task of gait and prehension in an unpredictable environment". Prof. Van Emmerik will lecture in a graduate program (Master and PhD in Rehabilitation and Functional Performance) about coordination and control of human movement based on nonlinear and complex systems. He will also participate in meetings with professors and undergraduate and graduate students interested in motor control. Prof. Van Emmerik will deliver a lecture at EEFERP and another one at UNESP/Rio Claro, and he will participate in a PhD committee in the graduate program of Rehabilitation and Functional Performance.
